Admission Information

Course Syllabus

The AELO ATPL Integrated syllabus is a comprehensive program designed to take students with little to no flying experience through all stages of training required to become a commercial airline pilot. The course spans 18 months and covers both theoretical and practical components, ensuring students develop a strong foundation in aviation knowledge while gaining the necessary flight hours and skills. Theoretical subjects include aerodynamics, meteorology, navigation, air law, and human performance, among others, preparing students for the EASA ATPL exams. Ground school classes are complemented by in-depth briefings and workshops, ensuring that students understand both the theory and its practical application in real-world flying scenarios.

The practical flight training component of the AELO ATPL Integrated course is equally rigorous. Students begin by flying single-engine aircraft, learning basic maneuvers, navigation, and takeoff/landing techniques. As they progress, they move to more complex aircraft, including multi-engine operations, and undergo advanced instrument flight training (IFR), which is critical for airline operations. The course concludes with the Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) training, where students learn to work in a team, simulating real airline cockpit environments and prepares them for the operational demands of a professional airline career. Throughout the program, students gain the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to enter the world of commercial aviation confidently.

Theoretical Training
AELO is KSA100 compliant

AELO carries out integrated ATPL courses with full classroom training and dedicated syllabus / theoretical e-books. It takes approximately 6 months to complete this part, together with 600 hours of classroom review. Our professional instructors are also available on call or via e-mail at any time during your course. In addition, during the class training and review you will discuss in detail your self-studies and clarify all the doubts you might have.

Practical Training
Flying mainly takes place in Swiss and Italian airspace in our SEP/MEP fleet. Part of the IFR and the APS MCC takes place in our simulator devices.

Training is split in 5 phases which shall be completed within 18 months from the beginning, mainly based on your training progress:

Phase 1 – ATPL Theory and VFR flying basics – 6 months
Phase 2 – Consolidation – 2 months
Phase 3 – CPL and Hour building – 3 months
Phase 4 – IFR MEP – 4 months
Phase 5 – MCC APS – 1 month

EASA ATPL license

Obtained the EASA ATPL license issued by the Swiss Civil Aviation Authority, which is the highest level of commercial pilot certification and the standard requirement for most airlines.
