Our Training Locations in Switzerland and Italy
AELO Swiss Academy operates pilot training from its main base at Locarno Airport in Ticino, Switzerland — with a satellite base at Lugano Airport and a cadet training base at Cuneo International Airport in Italy. Every location shares the same standards, fleet discipline, and EASA-approved training organization oversight (CH.ATO.0311).
Main Base: Locarno Airport (Gordola, Switzerland)
Our main training base is at Locarno Airport, Via Aeroporto 21, 6596 Gordola — home to classrooms, briefing rooms, our fleet, and the flight-simulation suite. With more than 320 flying days per year, it is one of the most reliable flying climates in the Alps.

Satellite Base: Lugano Airport (Agno, Switzerland)
Just 10 NM south of Locarno, our Lugano satellite base increases operational flexibility and gives students additional airspace experience — with Milan Malpensa just over an hour away.
Cadet Training Base: Cuneo International Airport (Levaldigi, Italy)
At Cuneo International Airport, AELO operates a dedicated base for airline cadet training — including the Air France cadet pathway delivered through the ENAC partnership. For the 2026 training cycle, AELO trains two groups of 12 Air France cadets at this base.
