AMRIS Mentored Program

The Amris Mentored Program, delivered alongside AELO Swiss Academy’s ATPL Integrated course, is a structured mentoring and airline-readiness programme designed to complement your technical flight training and help you become the best pilot you can be.

While AELO provides world-class flight training leading to your Commercial Pilot Licence, the Amris Mentored Program adds an additional layer of professional development, personal mentoring, AI-supported progress monitoring, competency coaching, and career guidance throughout your training journey.

Developed by Amris Academy, the programme is built around the philosophy that becoming an airline pilot requires more than learning to fly an aircraft. It also requires developing the professional behaviours, decision-making skills, resilience, communication, and operational mindset expected by today’s airlines.

The programme follows four progressive phases that run in parallel with your AELO ATPL Integrated training.

Phase 1 – Student Assessment & Personal Development Plan

Every student begins the programme by establishing a detailed understanding of their individual strengths, development areas, and learning style.

This phase includes psychometric assessments using recognised aviation tools such as AON and Symbiotics, together with a competency-based interview conducted by an Amris aviation specialist.

The information collected is integrated into Amelia, Amris’ AI-supported development platform, which creates an individual competency profile and establishes a personalised development baseline.

This enables the mentoring team to tailor guidance and support throughout the student’s training.

Phase 2 – Mentoring, Performance Monitoring & Competency Development

Throughout the ATPL Integrated programme, students receive continuous mentoring and professional support alongside their technical flight training.

Training progress, theory performance, simulator sessions, flight training milestones, and competency development are continuously monitored through Amelia, allowing mentors to identify trends and provide targeted guidance when needed.

Regular mentoring sessions help students overcome challenges, maintain motivation, and continue progressing towards airline standards.

Phase 3 – Airline Competency & Professional Development

As students progress through their training, increasing emphasis is placed on developing the professional competencies expected in modern airline operations.

Through the Amris Mentored Program, students participate in airline-focused coaching and Resilient Pilot development sessions covering areas such as Crew Resource Management (CRM), Threat and Error Management (TEM), workload management, communication, leadership, resilience, and decision-making.

Particular attention is given to preparing students for the APS MCC phase and the transition from single-pilot training to multi-crew airline operations.

During key simulator events, Amris mentors provide additional observation, coaching, and debriefing to reinforce airline-standard behaviours and operational thinking.

Phase 4 – Airline Readiness & Career Transition

Students who successfully complete the programme and meet the required standards may gain access to the Airline Ready Pilot Pool (ARPP), where they continue receiving support as they prepare for airline recruitment.

The programme includes airline interview preparation, CV guidance, career mentoring, and ongoing professional support designed to help students navigate the transition from flight school to professional airline operations.
